What is invoice tracker? It is a system that monitor your accounts receivable, tracking invoice balances and logging payments. It is also called invoice record keeping template or invoice register / management template.

All templates downloadable here on are invoice forms, but Invoice Manager for Excel (namely Uniform Invoice Software) offers advanced invoice tracking and logging functionalities beyond what an Excel-based invoice tracking template could do.

  • Detailed payment logs. Each payment is logged with detailed information, including the invoice number, paid date, payment method (online payment, credit card or check etc.), reference#, and there is also a "Notes" field allowing you to record additional information about the payment.
  • Tracking invoices easily. Simply click the "Invoices" button, a list of all invoices and balances marked with different colors that indicate the status of each invoices (pending, paid, voided). You can also add / hide columns by clicking the "Columns" button on the toolbar, or filter the visible rows by using the search bar.
  • Accounts receivable at a glance. Clicking the "Customers" button to show a list of all customer accounts and their amount dues. Again if you have a large number of clients locating a particular one is easy with the search bar.
  • Customer Statement report. Specify the starting and ending date to generate statements for a client, which shows the history of invoices and payments.
  • Payment reports. Specify the date range to generate the payment history sheet.

On the bottom of the detail section, an Excel text box, namely "oknWidget_msg1" is added, which shows text " * NOTICE: By signing below you are confirming that the installation was done to your satisfaction. Another text box underneath it is a placeholder for your "TERMS OF AGREEMENT", which you should fill in before creating your own invoices.

The free Packing List Template is provided in Excel spreadsheet format, and like all the other templates on here on, it is created by modifying the default invoice template shipped with Invoice Manager for Excel (namely Uniform Invoice Software) setup program, which make it works seamlessly with Invoice Manager for Excel (namely Uniform Invoice Software). The packing slip template is designed to look professional and classic. The spreadsheet automatically calculates weight totals. The template has fields for Packing List Number, Shipping Date, Customer ID, Ship To Address, Payment Terms, Shipping Method, and for each shipped product, you can detail the Product #, Description and Quantity. On the bottom of the form, there is also a notes field that allows you to enter any comments regarding the order and shipment.

Invoice Manager for Excel uses names to identify the purpose of objects. For example, the "Save to DB" is named "oknCmdSave", and the "Save As New Customer" button is named "oknCmdSaveAsNewCustomer". All fields that should be saved to database are also named.

Except the "Current Balance" column, which is in fact the "Line total" column in the default invoice template shipped with Invoice Manager for Excel (namely Uniform Invoice Software), all the other columns are manually fillable when you create an invoice. The calculation of "Current Balance" is done by "Charge - Payments - Insurance Payments" using Excel formulas. As you can see, we completely redefined the calculation method of the "Current Balance" or "Line total" cells, without breaking or modifying Invoice Manager for Excel (namely Uniform Invoice Software), which is our invoicing software that processes tasks like saving invoices, auto-generation of invoice numbers, tracking customers etc. Even in complex accounting / invoicing systems on the market, this level of flexibility could hardly be found. Invoice Manager for Excel (namely Uniform Invoice Software) archived this easily because it uses Excel spreadsheets as its front end.

Next to that are the "Bill To" and "Ship To" sections. Next to that, the cell named "oknShipVia" is changed to an integral numeric indicating the number of days between the invoice date and the shipping date. For example, if you enter "3" in the "oknShipVia" cell, and the invoice date is July-5-2017, the shipping date will be July-8-2017, which is calculated automatically using the following Excel formula:

This template is created based on c2004 Service Invoice with Payment Advice in the service invoice templates category. In this new design, the payment advice is still there located near the "Bill To" section. In fact, c2040 and c2004 has exactly the same number of database fields, and the field layouts are similar too. But the two forms look very different at first glance.
