The image watermarks are placed on top-right and bottom-left corners of the spreadsheet form. These are two cartoon images with the opacity adjusted to 20%, so that the foreground text labels, such as "Invoice#", "Invoice Date" and the total fields, are easily readable.

  • For each product, you can now set 3 prices on the Product Edit window. The regular Price is used as "Wholesale Price". You can also set a DistributorPrice and a RetailPrice in the Custom Fields tab of the Product Edit window - To open a Product Edit window, double click a product line in the Products list window which can be opened by clicking the Products button on the Invoice form.
  • When creating invoice, you enter customer information as usual, then choose products by clicking the icon button on the product lines. You can set the Customer Type (CustType) by using the drop-down list on the left pane. The price on the invoice will be changed according to the customer type you choose.
  • In case you want to enter price manually, choose Special as the Customer Type, and then enter prices into the Special column located on the left pane.
  • The "Customer" column has been added to the Sales Report, but it cannot be printed on a standard A4 paper now. Hide one or two of the other columns if you want to print the Sales Report on A4 paper.
  • There are several columns put outside the Print Area of the invoice form. These columns are not included in the printed invoices, but are necessary for the invoice template to function as designed. You can resize or hide one or several of the columns, but cannot delete the columns.

As detailed in the "Create Invoice Template" document, all shapes including images must have its name prefixed "oknWidget" in order to be retained on the extracted version (which is still an Excel workbook file, but contains only the invoice sheet), and the PDF invoice created with UIS. This sample follow that guidelines, so that the widgets, such as the boxes for the "BILL TO" and "SHIP TO" sections, are kept on the result invoices. On the other hand, buttons like "Save As New Customer", "View Customer Info." and "Same As Bill To" are all removed from the PDF invoices.

This dental receipt sample also features two images in additional to the logo image located on the top-left. The first image is visible when you are filling an invoice - a tooth carton image on left-bottom, which is inserted into this dentist receipt format sample as a shape object. The second image is not visible when you are creating invoices using the form, but will show on top-right on the bills, which features a doctor / dentist and along with a dental chair. This second image is added as a background image. It shows only on printed bills and receipts, or PDF dental invoices created by using Invoice Manager for Excel (namely Uniform Invoice Software). The next important difference between this roofing and ceiling repairing invoice sample and the standard invoice sample is that, this customized version has only one tax (named "TAX") set by default. To change the taxing options, with Invoice Manager for Excel (namely Uniform Invoice Software) installed you can simply clicking the "Settings" button on either the "Invoice" worksheet, or on the ribbon tab, and then go to the "Taxes" tab, choose the tax type (no-tax, one-tax or two taxes), set up the tax names and rates for each taxes, and then click the "Apply" button. Invoice Manager for Excel (namely Uniform Invoice Software) will modify the form layout according to the options you choose. The Excel formulas we created for the tax cells will work well too with the options you choose from the "Taxes" tab. The support for formulas is one of the big advantages of Excel as an invoicing assistant. The other Office invoicing templates could produce clean and professional-looking business documents too, like Word or even Power Point invoicing templates, but it is far easier to do automated calculations with Excel formatted template (".xlsx" or ".xls"). This is why Excel is used for many accounting activities. On the other hand, to many people Word is the writing tool. And, this is one of the reason why we are providing all our billing templates in Excel format.

  1. Right-click one of the merged cell (for example, the left vertical border cells), choose "Format Cells".
  2. Go to the "Fill" tab, and then click "Fill Effects".
  3. On the "Gradient" tab, choose "Two colors". From the color drop down lists, choose two colors separately - usually one dark color and another bright color.
  4. From the "Shading Styles" section, for this example we choose "Horizontal" for the left vertical border.
  5. Click to choose one of the "Variants".
  6. Click OK to confirm the settings of the gradient colors.
