For example, c6001 Clothing Shop Receipt includes the "size" column on the detail section; cm003 Clothing Store (Manufacturer) Invoice with Size Breakdown adds even more columns, i.e. "Color", "0-2 XS/P", "4-6 S", and so son, so that you can break down quantity in detail for the clothes you sold.

Take a look at the screenshot of this invoice template, you'll easily find the differences between this template and other templates available here on There are 18 lines on the detail section, but these lines are grouped into two sections - the "Services" section and the "Expenses" section, with each section identified by a blue title bar. You can use 6 lines on each section to itemize the service and expense. The other lines are reserved for taxes and amounts.

Some customers are very important so you need to allocate discounts to them whenever you invoice them. This template implements this by adding a custom field, Discount, to both the Customer and InvHdr (Invoice Header) database tables. For each customer, you can set a default discount, either 0 or a non-zero value. Whenever you create invoice for the customer, the discount is applied automatically.

The tax names are set to its default values, "TAX1" and "TAX2". To change the tax names and rates, simply unprotect the "Invoice" worksheet by clicking the "Unprotect Sheet" command in the "Review" Excel ribbon tab. All the templates here on are protected by default. This is a good way to prevent modifications to the layout and formulas of the template. All editable / fillable cells are unlocked so that they are selectable and editable even when the spreadsheet is protected. To set / view the locking status of a cell, first unprotect the sheet, and then right-click the cell you want to set, choose Properties. On the "Protection" tab of the "Format Cells" dialog box, you'll find the "Locked" property. If this property is checked, the cell will not be editable / fillable when the sheet is protected.

As required by Uniform Invoice Software, the "Product ID" column is still on the template, but is placed on column A (ranging from A20:A31), which is outside the printable section of the worksheet. This layout design allows you to have more space left for the "Description" column, but still being able to use the "Product ID" column to fill in invoiced items quickly by entering the shortcut code of a product (such as SKU# or barcode numbers read by a scanner).
