This is the third sample invoice template in our serial of welding and fabrication invoicing template. Welding and Fabrication Service Invoice Template is categorized as service invoice template and thus does not have a shipping address section.

To be a successful welder you need to be able to complete invoice forms or reports for employers showing tasks completed, materials used, hours worked and how much to charge customers. This is one of the essential skills for success as a welder, as detailed in the welding procedures developed by governing bodies, such as the Canadian Welding Bureau - it is as important as other skills, like being able to complete timesheets, review notes on blueprints from the engineering department about materials and procedures, interpret diagrams and tables on blueprints to determine engineering requirements, calculate materials and labor charges on invoices for clients, calculate how much materials will be needed for a structure prior to ordering, calculate the volume, diameter and circumference of tanks when fabricating pieces for them, etc.

However in the welding and fabrication business practice, there are different ways for calculating prices and costs. The previous invoice template, Welding Invoice Template (c8003), automates unit price calculation by modeling prices into 3 plans - sold by " Foot, Shear Cut Inches, Flame Cut Inches", sold by " SQ. FT.", " INCHES". This simplify price and cost calculations, Steel Fabrication for steel fabrication - for example if you are doing semiconductor fabrication, pipe fabrication or acetylene welding, you have a different pricing model, and you may not like this implementation. The another Simple Welding Invoice Template, offers 5 columns on the invoice detail section, which offers as many as possible manually fillable fields on the invoice form - but someone may think it is just a generic service invoice template, and you may prefer to make your invoices more professional welder invoices. If you look at some welding and fabrication job estimate form, you may easily find different pricing models. This invoicing template, Welding and Fabrication Service Invoice Template, or Welding and Fabrication Billing Template, simplify the pricing model implemented in c8003 Welding Invoice Template, but offers exactly the same printable invoice as the previous one, as you can see from the screenshots or the PDF welding invoice template. This is done by removing all the 3 "Body By" columns from the invoice form. We've also modified the Excel formula of the Line Total cells so that it looks like "=quantity * units * unit price". With c7021 Welder Invoicing Template, we moved the shipping address section back into the printable range, and moved out the Type column to give more space to the Description column. With c6017 Welding / Fabrication Tax Invoice, we moved the Dimension column out of the printable area, and moved in the taxable column so that it is included in the printable invoice.

Like many other Excel spreadsheet invoicing forms online here on, this invoicing template has a default LOGO image on the top of the "Invoice" worksheet, which you should replace with your own image. To do this, you first unprotect the Invoice worksheet, switch to design mode.

(Note that if you have installed the latest version of our invoicing software, Uniform Invoice Software, which is able to upgrade a simple template in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format into a complete invoicing system, you don't have to replace the logo image manually - you can replace the default logo image by clicking the "Replace Logo Image" button on the ribbon tab in Excel 2007, Excel 2010 and Excel 2013). To replace the default LOGO image in Welding and Fabrication Service Invoice Template with your own image, follow the steps below:

  • Right click the Logo image, and then select Properties from the menu.
  • Click the Picture property, and then click the "..." button.
  • Browse to the folder containing your icon file. Select and open the icon file.
  • Close the Properties dialog box.
  • Drag the border of the image object to resize it, if needed.

If you don't need the LOGO image and want to delete it, simply hit the DEL key on your keyboard after you selected it with your mouse key. Deleting the LOGO image leaves an empty area to the left of the Company Information section. You may like to move the entire Company Information section to fill in the empty area. To do this: Drag your mouse to select the entire Company Information area, including Company Name, Street Address, City, ST Zip Code, etc.; Push your mouse key on the border of the selected area; drag it to the new location.

It is also a useful technique to move cell and cells on the form. This is the easy way to create your very own invoice creator or invoice generator based on our templates.

Moving a cell or a group of cells is easy in Excel. First, you click to select the cell or drag your mouse to select all the cells you want to move. And then, drag the border of the selected area to move it to the new location where you want to place the cell or cells. The moving content will overwrite the content in the target location, so make sure the target range is empty (not used) in Welding and Fabrication Service Invoice Template before doing the movement. And, if the target location contains merged cells, sometimes the movement fails. So it is also helpful to make sure the target location does not contain merged cell. If the target location Welding and Fabrication Service Invoice Template is overlapping the original range and the original range contains merged cells, the movement could also fail because you cannot change part of merged cell - if this happens, you need to first move the cells to a temporal location in Welding and Fabrication Service Invoice Template that are empty (i.e. not used), unmerge cells, and then move the cells from the temporal location to the desired location. If you need to unmerge a cell, first select it and then click the "Merge and Center" command on the Format toolbar in Excel 2003; or click the "Merge and Center" command on the Home ribbon tab in Excel 2007, 2010 and Excel 2013.

Like other form designs here on, Welding and Fabrication Billing Template is free (offered to you at a price of 0.00USD). It works on Windows XP and all newer versions of Windows, and Excel 2007, 2010, 2013 or 2016.
