It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Do you want to place a beautiful image on your service bills to impress your satisfied customers? It is actually easy to do with Microsoft Excel and Invoice Manager for Excel (UIS). This invoice sample shows you how.
As a business document, a service bill should clearly show your customer what services are offered, and at what prices they are charged. This is always the key to reduce doubts and ensure you can get payments on time. Besides that, by putting a related image on your bills you can easily make your invoices lively - It is an easy way to make your clients remember your businesses, and also a chance to get returning customers.
This is a simple service bill template is a revised version of c2003 Simple 2-Column Service Bill Sample hosted here on InvoicingTemplate.com. Like the original simple bill sample, it has two columns on the detail section, which are "Description" and "Amount". Another column "Product ID" (i.e. "Item #") is placed outside the print area. The summary section, which contains 4 fields - "Shipping Cost" (cell name "oknShippingCost"), "Total" (cell name "oknTotal"), "Paid" (cell name "oknPayments") and "Total Due" (cell name "Balance Due") - we moved from the bottom of the spreadsheet form to be near the "Bill To" section.
With new format design, we firstly removed all the icon buttons that are used to quickly locate / pick up specific customer, product, payment term, sales rep. name etc. This is because starting with UIS version 4, our Excel-based billing program provides an easy and handy "on-sheet picker" feature, which shows dynamically a litter button when a supported cell / field is clicked.
With this new form design, we moved backed the customer# cell back into the printable section, placed it under the "invoice#". Both the "invoice#" and "customer#" cell support on-sheet picker.
The most noticeable customization of this billing example is the addition of an image, which shows a pleased customer family on the bottom of the form. Excel itself provides limited options for adjust the opacity of background images, so we firstly change the opacity of the original family picture using Photoshop - in this example, we set the opacity of the picture to about 60%. Is your business related to serving families like babysitting / child care / daycare, house cleaning? This sample template might be your choice.
