How to Use

Assuming you have downloaded and installed Uniform Invoice Software:

  1. Download Service Receipt Template. Double-click the downloaded file to extract all files.
  2. Open the template "servicereceipttemplate.xls" or "servicereceipttemplate-uis.xlsx" with Microsoft Excel.
  3. Click "Design Mode" on the "Invoice" Excel ribbon tab to put it into design mode.
  4. Enter your business information and replace the default logo image to make it your own. (How?)
  5. Click "Design Mode" again to exit design mode.
  6. Create invoice (tutorial movie)!

Service Receipt Template is a variant of Payment Receipt Template. This customized version differs from the original receipt template by moving out all shipping fields from the printable receipt form.

In order to create this free service receipt template from the original payment receipt template, we move out all the shipping fields from the printable receipt form. For this reason, this blank receipt template is more suitable for service businesses where shipping addresses are usually not necessary.

The free receipt sample, as all the other invoice templates here on InvoicingTemplate.com, are a customized version of the sales invoice template shipped with Uniform Invoice Software. For this reason, the receipt template works well with Uniform Invoice Software. For example, you can have Uniform Invoice Software generates an invoice# (receipt#) automatically by clicking the "Save To DB" button.

To create this service receipt template from the original receipt template, all you need to do is to unprotect the Invoice worksheet, and then drag the cells / cells you don't need from the printable receipt form to place it outside the printable area.

Moving a cell or a group of cells is easy in Excel. First, you click to select the cell or drag your mouse to select all the cells you want to move. And then, drag the border of the selected area to move it to the new location where you want to place the cell or cells. The moving content will overwrite the content in the target location, so make sure the target range is empty (not used) in Service Receipt Template before doing the movement. And, if the target location contains merged cells, sometimes the movement fails. So it is also helpful to make sure the target location does not contain merged cell. If the target location Service Receipt Template is overlapping the original range and the original range contains merged cells, the movement could also fail because you cannot change part of merged cell - if this happens, you need to first move the cells to a temporal location in Service Receipt Template that are empty (i.e. not used), unmerge cells, and then move the cells from the temporal location to the desired location. If you need to unmerge a cell, first select it and then click the "Merge and Center" command on the Format toolbar in Excel 2003; or click the "Merge and Center" command on the Home ribbon tab in Excel 2007, 2010 and Excel 2013.
