A telecom consultant business sends estimations to their customers based on recommendation letters. Telecom Consultant Estimation Template makes the creation of the estimations easy and quick.
The estimation template does not include the section for the shipping fields that could be found on the default sales invoice template shipped with Uniform Invoice Software. On the body section it contains 3 columns - "Our Billing for Professional Services", which is the Product Description column in the default sales invoice template; " Estimated Savings", which is the Price / Unit Price column in the default sales invoice template; and " Fee @ 50%", which is the Line Total column in the default sales invoice template. As the name implies, "Fee @ 50%" is calculated automatically from "Estimated Savings", using the formula "= Estimated Savings * 0.5".
Although it is easy to create the layout and format of Telecom Consultant Estimation Template with Microsoft Word or other Microsoft Office programs, or even with some PDF programs like Adobe Acrobat, the support for Excel formulas makes doing automated calculations easy to implement and modify. For example, Telecom Consultant Estimation Template uses Excel formulas extensively to do calculations whenever possible and necessary, such as the taxes, totals. If you use the Uniform Invoice Software version of Telecom Consultant Estimation Template, Excel formulas are also used to create the relationship between several fields, such as one field should be the sum of two other fields.
Consultant Estimation Template includes 10 lines on the body section for you to itemize service details. Following the service details, there is a declaration that says "This invoice is an estimation based on our recommendation letter. The next invoice, due in approximately 3 months, will be based on actual savings. Any over/under estimations will be adjusted at that time." If you prefer to customize this estimate template for creating actual invoices, it's recommended to remove this declaration.
The product# column is place to the left of the printable area. Although the term "product" is used here, you can actually use it for consulting service items. If you use the Uniform Invoice Software edition of Telecom Consultant Estimation Template, the product management features of the Excel Invoicing Software helps you management consulting service items, so that you don't have to enter the same or similar description text again and again.
Since this is an estimate template, the "Payment" button in the Uniform Invoice Software edition is actually useless. It is kept in case you need to convert this estimate template into an invoice template for billing and payments. Also there is one tax named GST on the bottom of the form, which you can easily modify or completely delete it once the invoice form is unprotected.
The protection of the "Invoice" worksheet in Telecom Consultant Estimation Template prevents accidental modifications to layouts and formulas. If you have Uniform Invoice Software installed, it could even display a warning message when you close a template without protecting the worksheet. However for the purpose of this sample, we should firstly unprotect the worksheet in Telecom Consultant Estimation Template.
Like most invoice templates available here on InvoicingTemplate.com, Telecom Consultant Estimation Template also contains a default LOGO image on the top right of the form.
(Note that if you have installed the latest version of our invoicing software, Uniform Invoice Software, which is able to upgrade a simple template in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format into a complete invoicing system, you don't have to replace the logo image manually - you can replace the default logo image by clicking the "Replace Logo Image" button on the ribbon tab in Excel 2007, Excel 2010 and Excel 2013). To replace the default LOGO image in Telecom Consultant Estimation Template with your own image, follow the steps below:
If you don't need the LOGO image and want to delete it, simply hit the DEL key on your keyboard after you selected it with your mouse key. Deleting the LOGO image leaves an empty area to the left of the Company Information section. You may like to move the entire Company Information section to fill in the empty area. To do this: Drag your mouse to select the entire Company Information area, including Company Name, Street Address, City, ST Zip Code, etc.; Push your mouse key on the border of the selected area; drag it to the new location.
If you use the Uniform Invoice Software version of Telecom Consultant Estimation Template, and replace the default logo image by copy and paste, make sure it is named with the prefix "oknWidget", otherwise it will not be included if you execute the "Extract" command in Uniform Invoice Software.
Naming a control or an image is easy in Microsoft Excel. First make sure your template Telecom Consultant Estimation Template is in design mode. Right-click the control or image you want to assign it a name, choose Properties. On the Properties box, enter the name into the "name" field and press enter. Note that if you have several controls that you want to assign different names, you can do so by entering the name and then clicking to choose another control without closing the Properties window.
Although this template is named Telecom Consultant Estimation Template, it could actually be seen as a general purpose consulting invoice template. Remove the formula from the "Fee @ 50%" column to make it manually editable (and change the column headings of course), this will make it a generic consulting estimate template as you can enter any amount as needed.
