Detail

Clothing Shop Receipt helps a clothing shop or store easily create professional receipt or invoice with a blank receipt template or blank invoice template. The "Size" column is usually required on such a form.

For a sample invoice template designed for clothing store / manufacturer with size breakdown, visit Clothing Store (Manufacturer) Invoice Format with Size Breakdown.

The most noticeable difference between this free Clothing Shop Receipt and the default sales invoice template shipped with Uniform Invoice Software is that the clothing shop receipt template has a "Size" column on the printable invoice form. That is, there are now 6 columns on the printable form - product#, description, size, quantity, unit price, line total. The other column, Taxable, which allows you to indicate whether each item is table or not, is located outside the printable form.

Like all the other invoice template examples available here on InvoicingTemplate.com, this money receipt template and cash receipt template is also based on the default sales invoice template shipped with Uniform Invoice Software, and works with Uniform Invoice Software without any problem - plus, Uniform Invoice Software will offers features like management of customers, products, invoices and payments. The template includes the "Ship To" or "Delivery To" section, so this can also be used as a delivery receipt template. If you are looking for a guide of how to prepare money receipt, or the definition of what are cash receipts, or some samples and examples of receipts, this template answered the question in an intuitive way. The template could help you draft receipts in an easy and quick way, and it also helps you create your daily receipts in a professional way. Compared to those complex and expensive receipt or invoice software programs, this petty and free template offers you a budget-free solution - there is no fee you should pay monthly or yearly for using the free receipt template.

Like most of the other invoice templates or receipt templates here on InvoicingTemplate.com, there is a default LOGO image on the top of the form, which is a placeholder and house for your own logo image.

(Note that if you have installed the latest version of our invoicing software, Uniform Invoice Software, which is able to upgrade a simple template in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format into a complete invoicing system, you don't have to replace the logo image manually - you can replace the default logo image by clicking the "Replace Logo Image" button on the ribbon tab in Excel 2007, Excel 2010 and Excel 2013). To replace the default LOGO image in Clothing Shop Receipt with your own image, follow the steps below:

  • Right click the Logo image, and then select Properties from the menu.
  • Click the Picture property, and then click the "..." button.
  • Browse to the folder containing your icon file. Select and open the icon file.
  • Close the Properties dialog box.
  • Drag the border of the image object to resize it, if needed.

If you don't need the LOGO image and want to delete it, simply hit the DEL key on your keyboard after you selected it with your mouse key. Deleting the LOGO image leaves an empty area to the left of the Company Information section. You may like to move the entire Company Information section to fill in the empty area. To do this: Drag your mouse to select the entire Company Information area, including Company Name, Street Address, City, ST Zip Code, etc.; Push your mouse key on the border of the selected area; drag it to the new location.

Clothing Shop Receipt, like the default template, has two tax items on the bottom of the worksheet, which are applied to all the items, and a column of Taxable checkboxes to the left of the form body, which are corresponding to each invoicing item. You can change the tax names and rates on the bottom of the form by typing in whatever meet your requirements. These are the supported features implemented in both the freeware version and the Uniform Invoice Software version.

Since the default Uniform Invoice Software sales invoice template does not include the Size column, the new "Size" column is added as a custom field. To be specific, the "Size" custom field is added to both the Product and Invoice Body database table with exactly the same name and type.

Uniform Invoice Software support custom fields or user-defined fields, which is a unique feature that allows you to add new fields to the backend database as well as to the spreadsheet form. Clothing Shop Receipt uses custom fields to implement the features that are not available in the default template shipped with the invoicing program. With the support for custom fields in the database, Uniform Invoice Software has the ability to manipulate the newly added fields in database, includes adding them to reports. With the support for custom fields in the Excel worksheet, our invoicing app has the ability to create the relationship between fields - for example, one field should be the sum of the other fields, or the value of one field should be calculated only when another field value equals a certain value.

The support for custom fields makes it possible for even an end user who does not know programming at all, could add new features to her/his invoicing creator such as Clothing Shop Receipt without writing one line of programming code. Feel free to Search and download more samples. Sometimes our customization samples are offered in two editions here on InvoicingTemplate.com, that are one freeware edition, and another edition that works only with our invoicing software installed.

Adding a custom field to the Product table in the database makes it possible to save the field value to database along with the other data of a product. For example, adding the custom field "Product Type" to the Product database table allows you to save the type, such as "General" or "Labor", to the database when you save a product or item. If you use Uniform Invoice Software version template Clothing Shop Receipt and add the custom field to the spreadsheet, the value is retrieved whenever you pick up a product on creating an invoice.

Adding a custom field to the "InvBdy" database table makes it possible to save the data on the invoice spreadsheet to database when the "Save To DB" button is clicked. For example, adding the custom field "Product Type" to the "InvBdy" database table allows save the type value on the invoicing form, such as "General" or "Labor", to database when you save an invoice by clicking the "Save To DB" button. This feature is not supported in the freeware edition of Clothing Shop Receipt.

When working with Uniform Invoice Software (UIS) version of Clothing Shop Receipt, how does UIS know to which cell when a field value write to when loading data from the database, and to which field a cell value must save when saving an invoice record, a customer or a product item? That is, how does UIS create the map or relationship between Excel cells on the template Clothing Shop Receipt and database fields? The answer is by using names. For example, if the field name in the Product table in a database is "ProductType", it is writing to a cell named "oknProductType_?" (where ? is the line number of the invoicing item) when you pick up a product or item on creating an invoice, and when saving an invoice, all cells with the name "oknProductType_?" are saved to the "ProductType" field in the "InvBdy" database table. By using cell names, UIS allows you to move a cell on the form without breaking the feature depending on the field / cell. You can place the "Product Type" column either inside the printable area, which is printed when you issue the Print command in Excel or click the Print command on the "Invoice" worksheet form; or place the Product Type column outside the printable area, which will be included when you print or extract an invoice or receipt.

By adding the "Size" column to both the invoice form and backend database, the general sales invoice template now becomes a Clothing Shop Receipt or Clothing Store Invoice Template. Please visit the download page to download the template, either the free Clothing Store Invoice Template, or the Uniform Invoice Software version of Clothing Store Invoice Template. A PDF version is also available for free download.

Like other form designs here on InvoicingTemplate.com, Clothing Store Invoice Template is free (offered to you at a price of 0.00USD). It works on Windows XP and all newer versions of Windows, and Excel 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013 or 2016.
