For businesses or contractors who provide painting service or work as a house painter, download this free invoice template to create professional bills and invoices as easy as filling in a blank paper forms. You can print hard copy, or email the PDF painting invoice electronically.
Besides all the elements required by a general invoicing template, this particular invoicing form features a background image with set of repair instruments located on the on the bottom of the form. The opaqueness of the background image is set to 35% so even in the overlapping area the front text is still readable and clear. While there are templates that have similar layout here on InvoicingTemplate.com, this special background easily mark the business type of this invoicing template.
Another picture added to the form is located on the top of the invoice, which is a normal picture object (i.e. added by clicking the "Picture" command on Excel "Insert" ribbon tab). Since this picture is placed above Excel normal cells, the underlying cells are no longer easily selectable - so we place this picture on top center of the bill form, where there is no editable text / field on creating invoices. Note this image is named as "oknWidget_house" to keep it on extracted Excel spreadsheet invoices (".xlsx" or ".xls") and UIS generated PDF invoice.
Like they said, a picture is worth a thousand words. This is true even to an invoicing form such as this one designed for painters. The images easily make the form not only professional, but also elegant.
While the title of the current template is set to "INVOICE", you can easily modify it to be a work order by moving out cells like "Total Due" and "Paid" to the area out of the printable invoicing form.
The itemized section allows you to detail the materials used and service performed. The line totals are calculated using Excel formulas. By default these columns are titled with "Quantity" and "Unit Price", but if you are working on an hourly rate basis (not project-based), such as face painting for salon and parlor people, you can easily change the titles to be "Hours" and "Hourly Rate", to do this, simply put the template into design mode by clicking the "Design Mode" button on the "Invoice" ribbon tab (If you don't see the "Invoice" ribbon tab, make sure you have Invoice Manager for Excel installed), and then type in your new column headings to replace the existing ones. This painting service invoicing template could also be printed in monochromatic style. To do this, go to Excel "Page Layout" ribbon tab, click the "expand" button on the "Page Setup" group to open "Page Setup" dialog box. Go to the "Sheet" tab, and then check (select) "Blank and white". This is an ink-friend option. If you are sending electronical PDF invoices via email, then this option will not be so useful for you.
