This template has only one column, consisting of 16 lines of the "Description" fields. The total amount cell is manually editable.
The template includes the "SpellNumber" VBA procedure to show the amount in English words.
This template is based on the Construction Proposal Template (c1001).
To create this form, we moved the "Invoice number" cell back into the printable area.
The three lines of "Job Location" fields are now defined as custom fields. The fields are added to the "InvHdr" database table.
This form uses only the "Description" field in the detail section, which is the "ProductName" field in the "Product" and "InvBdy" tables. In this case, the "Price", "Quantity", and "Line Total" fields are all set to zero. The "Item#" column was added back to the left side of the form. This allows you to save common descriptions to a database and retrieve them when creating invoices, avoiding typing the text again and again.
The "=SpellNumber" formula is a user-defined macro, detailed in the sample at Advanced Sample: Invoiced Total in English Words (c5102). For example, if the total is 1234.56, then the "Total Amount in English Words" shows "Twelve Thousand Three Hundred Forty Five Dollars and Sixty Seven Cents".
