Detail

Generic Service Bill Sample 2 was originally published on office-kit.com as a sample of customizing templates for Excel Invoice Manager. It is similar to c3002 - Generic Service Invoicing Template, but with the summary section ("Shipping and Handing", "Total", "Paid", "Total Due") moved to the top section near the "Bill To" section.

Please go to the download page to download the Excel invoicing template for free.

This free general service invoicing template in Excel format provides a blank invoicing form or blank sample service billing format that helps you create professional and printable service bills with an intuitive spreadsheet form.

Generic Service Bill Sample 2 is ideal for those small service business, freelancers or sole traders that don't need a shipping address section on their invoices. On the heading section, the first section is for your own store or shop information, including a default LOGO image, your service business name, address, city state and zip, and web site or contact number. To the right side of your store information, there are two important fields you should fill in when creating an invoice, the invoice# and invoicing date. If you have Uniform Invoice Software (UIS) installed, the "Invoice Date" field is filled with current date, and "invoice#" is generated automatically when you click the "Save To DB" button.

The next section details your customer information and titled with "Bill To" and the summary section. The summary section was moved from the bottom of c3002 (Generic Service Invoicing Sample).

Moving a cell or a group of cells is easy in Excel. First, you click to select the cell or drag your mouse to select all the cells you want to move. And then, drag the border of the selected area to move it to the new location where you want to place the cell or cells. The moving content will overwrite the content in the target location, so make sure the target range is empty (not used) in Generic Service Bill Sample 2 before doing the movement. And, if the target location contains merged cells, sometimes the movement fails. So it is also helpful to make sure the target location does not contain merged cell. If the target location Generic Service Bill Sample 2 is overlapping the original range and the original range contains merged cells, the movement could also fail because you cannot change part of merged cell - if this happens, you need to first move the cells to a temporal location in Generic Service Bill Sample 2 that are empty (i.e. not used), unmerge cells, and then move the cells from the temporal location to the desired location. If you need to unmerge a cell, first select it and then click the "Merge and Center" command on the Format toolbar in Excel 2003; or click the "Merge and Center" command on the Home ribbon tab in Excel 2007, 2010 and Excel 2013.

Below the customer section there are fields for you to input various invoicing-related information, including purchase order#, sales rep. name, shipping date, shipping method, payment term, due date. Again, if you don't need to have one or more fields to appear on your billing form, you can easily move them out of the printable area.

The printable area, or print area, is the area with white background on the center of the Generic Service Bill Sample 2 spreadsheet. By default Microsoft Excel prints the entire worksheet when you issue the print command, but if the worksheet has a print area defined, such as what we do for Generic Service Bill Sample 2, only the print area will print. You can add cells to expand the print area as needed, and you can clear the print area to print the entire worksheet again. If you need to recreate the print area definition, here are what to do: On the "Invoice" worksheet of the Generic Service Bill Sample 2, select the cells that you want to define as the print area; On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Print Area, and then click Set Print Area.

Like c3002 (Generic Service Invoicing Template), there are 3 columns on this spreadsheet design - line#, description and amount. The "Amount" field is manually editable/fillable on this invoicing sample.

One thing to note is that InvoicingTemplate.com tested the templates, including Generic Service Bill Sample 2, on Microsoft Windows (with Excel, not Word) only, and the testing on Mac was usually not performed. If you need to run Generic Service Bill Sample 2 on Mac, test it with Mac version of Microsoft Excel before you apply it for production purpose.

Being an Excel-based invoicing template, all printing options can be easily customized. Open the template in Excel and then open the Page Setup dialog, where you can find various options for printing.

Like other form designs here on InvoicingTemplate.com, Generic Service Billing Form 2 is free (offered to you at a price of 0.00USD). It works on Windows XP and all newer versions of Windows, and Excel 2007, 2010, 2013 or 2016.
