Sometimes an invoice is also referred as purchase invoice from the view of the buyer. This general-purpose Excel-formatted purchase invoice sample includes two editable/fillable columns, Description and Amount, and a Taxable checkbox column.

Like the other sales invoice template here on, c2025 General Purchase Invoice Template (Sales, One Tax) is compatible / work well with Uniform Invoice Software, which is our invoicing software that connect a front-end Excel-formatted template with back-end database, providing features like management of customers, products, invoices and payments.

As a sales invoice template, this sample template includes the "Ship To" section for you to detail the shipping address of the product sold. The default configuration of this section comprises of 5 fields / fields - oknShipName, oknShipAddress, oknShipCityStateZip, oknShipCountry, oknShipContact. Note that Excel Invoice Manager was renamed to Uniform Invoice Software, and with the release of Uniform Invoice Software, custom fields are not only supported in the main database tables like InvHdr, InvBdy, Customer and Product, but also CustomerShippingAddress. By adding custom fields (i.e. user-defined fields), you can add new fields to the Shipping Address section on the invoice form too, and have the newly added fields work with Uniform Invoice Software.

Several other templates here on have the Taxable options put on the printable form too. This sample, General Purchase Billing Template (Sales, One Tax) differs from others in that it implements the taxable options using the Form Controls. Microsoft Excel, and thus Uniform Invoice Software, actually supports two types of checkboxes added to a spreadsheet form - i.e. form control and ActiveX control. In case you need to add your own control, visit the Controls group of the Developer ribbon tab. This tab is not visible by default. To display it, first right-click an empty area on the Excel ribbon, choose "Customize the Ribbon" and then check the Developer ribbon tab option.

The formulas of this bill sample are set so that when a Taxable box is checked, the Amount of the current is included when calculating tax. Likewise, if a taxable box is not checked, the amount of the current line is excluded from the tax calculation. This is done by using a array formula of a hidden cell named oknLineTotalTaxable (cell address B35): {=SUM(oknTaxable_1:oknTaxable_6*oknLineTotal_1:oknLineTotal_6)}. Note that the "{" and "}" symbols in the formula, which indicate it is an array formula. For a detailed explanation on array formula visit Guidelines and examples of array formulas.

Like other form designs here on, General Purchase Billing Template (Sales, One Tax) is free (offered to you at a price of 0.00USD). It works on Windows XP and all newer versions of Windows, and Excel 2007, 2010, 2013 or 2016.
