Detail

This template is designed for law firms and small law offices. It has exactly the same layout as c5104, but with the currency set to INR (Indian Rupee). It also demonstrates how to use the custom field "Bank Charge".

It differs from the Attorney Invoice Template (c5067), where the line totals are calculated from "Quantity" and "Unit Price". This form has five columns too, but the line totals are the sum of "Official" and "Professional", which are all manually editable.

The "Exec.ID" column uses the "Prouct ID" field defined as a standard field in the default template shipped with our app, which could be the short codes for the services provided.

With c5104, we use the "oknShippingCost" field for storing bank charges.

This template replaces the "ShippingCost" standard field with a custom field named "BankCharge".

To do this, the first step is to delete the "ShippingCost" name.

  1. First, make a backup of your template.
  2. Open the template.
  3. Click the "Design Mode" button on the ribbon.
  4. Go to the "Formulas" ribbon tab, and then click the "Name Manager" button.
  5. On the name manager dialog box, browse to and select the "oknShippingCost" name, then click "Edit".
  6. Enter the new name "oknBankCharge".
  7. To make the bank charge column populated on reports, we also need to rename "oknRsShippingCost" to "oknRsBankCharge", "oknRcShippingCost" to "oknRcBankCharge", and "oknRrShippingCost" to "oknRrBankCharge".
  8. Click "Close" to close the name manager dialog box and return to the Excel worksheet.
  9. Exit design mode.

Now we need to create the custom field "BankCharge" at the database level. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Click the "Invoices" button on the ribbon tab.
  2. Click "Custom Fields" on the toolbar.
  3. Click "Add Field".
  4. Enter the following: Field name: BankCharge; Type: decimal; Precision: 10; Scale: 2.
  5. Click "OK" to create the new custom field.
  6. Click "Close" to close the custom field manager.
