In order to create this template, we've also moved the address fields on the "Shipper/Exporter", "Recipient" and "Importer (If other than recipient)" sections. The purpose of this movement is to make the sections occupy less lines on the vertical orientation. In the original design, each of the section occupy 8 lines for these fields - Tax ID/VAT No, Contact Name, Company Name, Address, City State/Province, Postal Code, Country/Territory, and Phone. Now each of the section uses only 4 lines. With this commercial invoice format design, the lines for "Federal Express International Air Waybill Number" still uses one whole line; "Date of Export" and "Export References" use another whole line. These fields are put on the top of the form because they are the most important cells, at least in the FedEx design. The PDF version of this blank commercial invoice template for shipping, which was created by using Excel's built in feature, has exactly the same layout.

Note that these 3 cells must be unlocked so that when the Invoice worksheet is protected, Invoice Manager for Excel (namely Uniform Invoice Software) is able to write to these cells. To do this, select the 3 cells and right-click one of them, choose Format Cells. On the Format Cells dialog box, clear the "Locked" boxes from the "Protection" tab. Click OK.

If you prefer this lightweight invoice layout but still want a logo image on the form, it is easy to add one if you have the latest version of Invoice Manager for Excel (namely Uniform Invoice Software) installed. To do this, simply click the "Replace logo image" command on the "Invoice" ribbon tab. This will open a dialog box that asks if you want to add a new logo image since there is no default logo image placeholder on the form. Confirm that you want to add a logo image, and then browse to and choose the your own logo image. The newly added logo image will be in design mode, which allows you to resize and move the image, and there are even more options you can use to adjust the image if you right-click the image and choose Properties. The options on the Properties pane are provided by Microsoft Excel, but not Invoice Manager for Excel (namely Uniform Invoice Software). Tip: You can click Excel menu File / Print. This shows the print preview of the current print area. Here you can change the column widths by dragging and dropping.   1. First you should unprotect the Invoice worksheet. Most templates designed by us here at turn on protection to avoid damage to layouts and formulas by mistake. However before you can customize an invoice template, you should firstly unprotect it by clicking the Unprotect command on Excel Review ribbon tab.
  2. Now drag your mouse to select the cell/cells you want to move.
  3. Push your mouse key on the border of the selected area. Drag it to the new location where you want to place the cell/cells.
