This basic sales invoicing sample has an abstract blue-violet gradient painting in the background that looks like brushed with a liquid. This design sample also has the stripes background on the detail section removed.
This template is a variant of c3001 Basic Sales Invoice Template (Light Blue). As one of the basic invoicing templates, it features all the required elements of a formal invoice - the "invoice date" and "invoice#" field, all the essential information about the seller and the buyer, and the goods purchased.
The itemized detail section features 3 columns, "#", "Description" and "Amount". This "#" column is a line number column, but not the "Item#" or "Product ID" column as found in many other templates here on InvoicingTemplate.com. The value of the "#" column is filled automatically using an Excel formula like this:
=IF ( oknLineTotal_1=0,0,1)
So when you fill in an invoiced item with the "amount" (field name "oknLinetotal_?") value, the "#" column is filled with a line # like "1, 2, 3 ..." etc.
As required by Uniform Invoice Software, the "Product ID" column is still on the template, but is placed on column A (ranging from A20:A31), which is outside the printable section of the worksheet. This layout design allows you to have more space left for the "Description" column, but still being able to use the "Product ID" column to fill in invoiced items quickly by entering the shortcut code of a product (such as SKU# or barcode numbers read by a scanner).
The "Amount" column on this field is manually editable on creating invoices. This is archived by removing all the formulas from the column, and then unlock the cells so that they are editable when the template is protected.
Since Uniform Invoice Software is able to generate electronic PDF invoice, image invoice and Excel invoice, and then email the invoice to the customer, the email address field is an essential field in the "Bill To" section. We also removed the "Country" field from both the "Bill To" and "Ship To" sections, as they are not commonly used.
Suggested by one of the Uniform Invoice Software users who are a painter and likes to make everything different, this template may not your favorite. Don't worry, we've hundreds original invoicing template designs for you to choose!
