Detail

This form is the default template shipped with our app, but with a double border added.

The template is based on the Print Shop Bill Sample (c4006). Here are the steps to follow to add a double border to it:

  1. Backup the template.
  2. Open the template as usual.
  3. Click the "Design Mode" button on the ribbon tab.
  4. Insert one row or column on the top, bottom, left, and right sides of the printable area.
  5. Drag your mouse to select all the ranges for the new printable area. Go to the Excel "Page Layout" ribbon tab, and from the "Page Setup" group, click "Print Area" and then "Set Print Area". This defines our new print area.
  6. Add the borders.
    1. Drag your mouse to select the entire new "Print_Area". In this example, it is $C$2:$L$48.

Tip: You can just select the "Print_Area" name from the name box on the formula bar.

    2. Right-click one of the selected cells and choose "Format Cells".
    3. Go to the "Border" tab.
    4. From the "Style" list, choose the double-border style.
    5. Choose a proper color.
    6. In the "Border" section, click the borders, respectively.
    7. Click OK to close the "Format Cells" dialog box.
  7. Adjust the height of the newly added rows and the width of the newly added columns. Make proper margins between the borders and the actual content.
  8. Tip: You can click the Excel menu "File" and then "Print". This shows the print preview of the current sheet.
  9. Once you have done the fine-tuning, exit design mode by clicking the "Design Mode" button on the ribbon tab.
  10. Save the template.
